TeuxDeux was my life for nine months between 2012 and 2013. I completely rewrote the entire app from scratch, both backend and frontend. The backend is written in Ruby, with Sinatra serving pages and Grape delivering the API. The frontend is built on Spine.js. TeuxDeux is a significant accomplishment for myself as it’s my first app built from start to finish using test-driven development. At the time of its launch, TeuxDeux’s test suite ran over 1700 tests.
While I do have experience with iOS development, I took a backseat on TeuxDeux for iOS. Instead of writing code, I wore the designer hat and collaborated closely with the developer, Ben Hopkins, to build a highly polished rewrite of the iPhone app.
